A flow chart showing the stages of planning and designing research, and the stages at which researchers can promote transparency.
The first stage is research application review and approval. After this, you can register your research. This is the first opportunity in the lifecycle to be transparent.
The second stage is research delivery. Then you might require amendments to your research as it is carried out. If not, then you proceed to the next stage, which is the end of the study.
After this stage, there are three ways in which you can be transparent. You can report your research results. You can inform research participants about the outcomes of the research. Then you can also share study data and tissue.
