Research summary
Neonatal research is essential to improve the quality of neonatal care, however only a small proportion of babies admitted to neonatal units participate in research studies. The aim of this study is to better understand how parents of babies admitted to neonatal units feel about and perceive clinical research. We will do this by gathering parents who have experience of neonatal care together in focus groups. These focus groups will explore barriers to and facilitators of wider involvement in neonatal research.
