Research summary
The ability to kneel after knee replacement surgery (total knee replacement - TKR or partial knee replacement - PKR) is important. It allows enjoyment of hobbies, sports and can be a requirement for employment. The ability to achieve kneeling after surgery has been suggested to be multi factorial. At present it is not possible for clinicians to accurately and reliably predict kneeling for individual patients after surgery. This study aims to identify factors such as ability to kneel preoperatively to predict kneeling after surgery.
