  This is a single site Open label two arm randomised control trial of 652 participants to describe the efficacy of patient navigators for attendance at HCC (Hepatology Carcinoma) surveillance.

  Patients with cirrhosis or chronic liver disease will be eligible for HCC surveillance. A waiver of consent will be sought form the ethics board to reduce volunteer bias, which otherwise would threaten the generalisability and validity of findings as a population health study.

  A patient navigator will provide scripted phone calls before appointments and if patients do not attend to re-book and/discuss barrier for non-attendance.

  The study duration would be 3.5 years.
