Research summary
This study aims to establish the best way to deliver information about flexible cystoscopy, a test that looks inside the bladder using a camera. Doctors and nurses currently rely on leaflets, but there is concern that adult literacy levels may limit accessibility of this information. A short video animation about flexible cystoscopy has been produced.
Within this study, patients will be randomly allocated to watch the video, or to read the approved leaflet. They will then be asked a series of questions, within a structured interview.
