Data collection arrangements
The UK Memory database will hold data on the general population, people with and without subjective memory loss and different medical conditions which may lead to memory issues and dementia. Data about the person's memory will be collected and used for various studies approved by the Research Ethics Committee. Data from cognitive testing will also be collected prospectively and used for various studies approved by the Research Ethics Committee. This database will allow us to capture data entered by individuals with suspected or confirmed memory impairments, as well as those of healthy participants. The database and computer are protected by three-fold passwords. Imperial College London is registered as a REDCap partner with the REDCap consortium. REDCap is hosted by Imperial College London. All data stored will comply with the provisions of the Data Protection Act and will only be accessible to study personnel via written permission from the Principal Investigator of the study that generated the relevant data. The research team will assess each response to determine whether a participant may be suitable for a particular study. Only permitted researchers will have access to this information.
Patient information will be entered onto the database from password-protected Imperial College London desktop computers. The data will be stored securely. No personal identifiable information will be stored outside Imperial College London. All data will be disposed of securely.Research programme
