Research summary
This study aims to assess how useful Tomographic Ultrasound (TU) is for the diagnosis and monitoring of vascular disease. TU is a new method of recording 3-dimensional ultrasound images. We will use a commercially produced CE marked TU system (the PIUR tUS system version 1.0). Images taken with the TU system will be compared with the ones generated as part of the patient’s standard care (ultrasound, computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)). The knowledge gathered will be used to assess whether the TU system could replace or improve upon current techniques in the future.\n
