Research summary
The aim of this study will be to evaluate Patient, Tooth and specific tooth site related factors, affecting changes in gingival(gum) recession in anterior(front) teeth, at baseline and 12 weeks following non-surgical periodontal(gum) therapy. Gum recession will be measured and compared using clinical assessment and 3 Dimensional optical scanning method.
The study will aim to analyse the effect of several variables on gum recession and probing pocket depth in the front teeth after non-surgical gum therapy. A total of 15 patients will be included in the study. The impression(mould) of upper and lower anterior(front) teeth will be taken and then poured to form stone cast which will be later analyzed using a 3 dimensional optical scanning machine. Clinical assessment will be done using a six point probing chart.REC name
