Research summary
It is highly acknowledged that dialysis patients are expected to follow a 'renal diet' in order to help prevent progression of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), improve uraemic symptoms and to optimise nutritional status. There is very little evidence which looks at the renal diet from a patient's perspective. This study has been designed to look at various aspects of the renal diet from a patient's point of view. The results will be used to identify aspects of the diet which patients may struggle with, aswell as identifying which particular patient groups struggle most with the diet. Such results should highlight potential areas where further dietetic intervention may be necessary.
