Research summary
This study is being funded by Bangor University as part of a PhD Project. Very little is known about resilience and well being in families of children with disabilities. This project is a national online and paper-based survey, and will explore aspects of well being that are little understood in this population, such as mindfulness and resilience with the consideration of life events. The survey is for parents of children who are aged between 5 and 15 years, and who have been diagnosed with a learning disability and/or autism spectrum disorder. This survey gives parents the opportunity to have their say about the well being of themselves and their child, which may benefit families in future.
