• Research summary

  In this sub-study we plan to characterise cerebral function parameters including assessment of neurocognitive, cerebro-spinal fluid and novel cerebral imaging parameters in both an HIV-infected population over the age of 50 years and a matched control population of the same age.
  We will utilise results from these observations, results from biomarker analysis on biological samples obtained during the study, and cardiovascular and respiratory assessments to elucidate potential pathogenic mechanisms underlying any clinical observations.
