  Samples from participants, once Informed Consent has been given, will be collected and stored in OCDEM.

• Research programme

  The researchers and staff in OCDEM are encouraged to take part in Community supported progams. We attend health fairs, open days at the JR, Science sessions at the Natural History Museum and school programs. [COVID-19 amendment 06/05/2020] 1. Including a fourth local cohort which is a workplace-based recruitment of Oxford University Hospital staff. This comes as an opportunity on the back of a COVID-19 survey for a public health and infections control survey open to all staff. The immediate benefit of including this cohort is for the COVID-19 project because it would enable researchers to recall participants for COVID-19 related purposes. The longer term benefit is to use the collected material for the same reasons as all other collected material in the Oxford Biobank, largely focusing on adult chronic disease.\n2. Establishment of a fast track inclusion system with an online invitation and secure online consent procedure. The consent revolves around the use of a clinical samples that otherwise would be destroyed. Now asking for consent to store serum, cells/DNA, link to personal details, and permission to use personal details to invite participants to future research projects, just in line with other cohorts in the Oxford Biobank.\n3. Protocol updated with new information of the database and sample storage system. A number of minor spelling and word changes have also been made.
