Research summary
The Lived Experience of Parastomal Hernia is a qualitative study that will look at patients' lived experience of living with a bulge or parastomal hernia (PSH) related to their stoma (colostomy/ileostomy). By interviewing patients about their experience we hope to be able to understand patients’ decision drivers for seeking treatment and examining their views related to parastomal hernia treatment will allow us to provide more tailored advice to patients, allowing them to make decisions on their treatment that take into account their needs and values.
