Research summary
We would like to find out how autistic adults have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the lockdown and loosening of lockdown measures.
In March 2019, the spread of the coronavirus Covid-19 meant that lockdown in the UK impacted on service delivery as normal. As part of the regular check-ins with this group and the ongoing virtual consultations that had been established prior to lockdown, good practice and ongoing support required that individuals on our caseload were reviewed to ensure their mental health remain stable. The results of these meetings were recorded on electronic notes as well as the broader specific collated by practitioners checking in with individual service users.
The interactions with our service users indicated that there were common difficulties emerging for our client group, which we want to explore in more detail.
