Research summary
This is a 96 week clinical trial to assess two different combinations of antiretroviral drugs for the treatment of HIV when changing treatment at the time of the failure of the participants first antiretroviral regime.The participants will be randomised to receive either the standard of care treatment (Darunavir boosted by ritonavir plus Truvada) or a novel regime of darunavir boosted by ritonavir plus etravirine.There is a lumbar puncture sub study to describe the differences in darunavir cerebrospinaflud plasma concentration ratio between treatment arms
