Research summary
This study proposes a questionnaire-based survey to people who have been diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE or Lupus) to determine the nature and extent of foot complaints they have experienced. This information is thought to be particularly important given that this group are often young,Lupus is a disease that typically affects individuals who are at the prime of their life in terms of career development and raising a family. The pain and inflammation that typifies Lupus causes limited mobility and subsequent loss of independence and poorer quality of life. The information gained from this study will help determine am evidence based for the assessment and management of foot complaints to help maintain and improve foot health and associated parameters such as mobility.
The questionnaire will ask respondents for anonymous data about their disease and symptoms in general but will also focus on problems and pain which the patient may have experienced with their feet.REC name
