Research summary
This is an observation study, across hospitals and hospices in 11 European countries. The aim of the study is to investigate Opioid Induced Constipation (OIC) in a real world / heterogenous group of European patients with cancer. In total 1200 participants across Europe, with 120 participants recruited in the UK from the three sites. The RSCH is the lead site UK. For the participant the study involves a single assessment for constipation, collection of demographics data, diagnosis, performance status and list of current medication. The whole assessment will last approximately 30 minutes.
