Research summary
This study will examine the experiences of cancer PPI group members, staff involved in managing clinical trial sponsorship, Clinical trial participants, PPI professional leads and REC members with regards to what their thoughts are upon how PPI is employed and valued. The propose from this study is to review how PPI is currently utilised and valued within clinical research, with the aim of creating proposals for improving the utilisation of future PPI provision. Within the multiple perspective evaluation all study participants will be asked to take part in semi structured interviews. Themes developed from interviews with aim to examine the impact of PPI and how it is utilised and valued within clinical research. Additionally, it will aim to uncover information that may offer an insight into how PPI can be utilised more effective within clinical research in the future.
