Research summary
Depression is a common mental health problem that affects many people. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based psychological therapy for depression. Although CBT is an effective treatment, the outcomes for clients with complex depression are, on average, not as good compared with clients with more straightforward problems. Self-Regulation CBT (SR-CBT) has been developed to meet the needs of clients with more complex depression. This study will test the effectiveness of SR-CBT and find out how it works in practice
