  • Data collection arrangements

    Patients who suffer out of hospital cardiac arrest will be included in this research registry. The data will be collected retrospectively form hospital records (patient notes, results systems) and inputted into a web based registry. This data will all be pseudonymised on admission to the registry and includes clinical information throughout the patients pathway of care. The data will be collected local investigator teams at NHS hospitals. Data will be stored on a Redcentric server at a tier 4 NHS data centre.

  • Research programme

    The research registry will provide data for projects looking into the epidemiological, clinical and mortality outcomes from out of hospital cardiac arrest. This particular condition has poor outcomes and generating data to research this field is of high importance to the furthering of knowledge within this subject area to ultimately improve patient outcomes.
