The purpose of this study is to bridge these gaps in knowledge and allow insight into the attitudes held in prison towards gay and bisexual male prisoners in this setting. This research aims to explore the attitudes within the criminal justice system towards gay and bisexual men within the prison system. In addition, the study will also incorporate the importance of an individual’s environment and will explore differences in attitudes between those residing on a PIPE or Enabling Environment compared to those residing on either the standard setting or setting for individuals with sexual offending of a high security category B prison in the UK.
