Research summary
The current project will be a systems biology study, based on metabonomic technologies in patient biological fluids. It will additionally include a panel of proteins to be quantified in biofluids. The biofluids involved are plasma and urine. The study will be carried out on three groups of patients that were admitted to the hospitals with chest pain symptoms. Patients with 1) coronary artery ectasia (diffuse dilatation), 2)coronary artery ectasia with evidence of minimal atherosclerosis, and 3) matched group of patients with normal coronary arteries. \n
