  • Research summary

The study is looking at unexplained syncope (loss of consciousness)in those patients who are over 50 and who have a partial blockage in the electrical conduction of their heart. We will test the hypothesis that a strategy of using a pacemaker is more effective at preventing syncope recurrence than a strategy of acting on the results of an implantable loop recorder (ILR).
