  • Research summary

Physical appearance and perceptions by others play an important role in social and psychological functioning, sense of wellbeing, self-esteem and self-confidence. Non-invasive methods that are satisfactory to patients are the cornerstone to meet the emerging need of patients seeking for a youthful appearance. Botulinum toxin is usually used for the treatment of dynamic wrinkles (wrinkles appearing with facial movements) on the upper face; while hyaluronic acid fillers are more suitable for the treatment of static wrinkles (wrinkles which are seen when the face is at rest) and the correction of volume loss on the midand lower face. The two products are complementary. The aim of this study is to assess patient's satisfaction in terms of global facial aesthetic rejuvenation after a combination of Azzalure© (botulinum toxin) and Restylane© (hyaluronic acid fillers) injections. This study is estimated to have a duration of approximately 10 months from time of first subject enrolment to the completion of the last subject. Study duration for each subject is 6 to 7 months (24 to 28 weeks) with up to 5 visits at the study site.
