Research summary
The study will be comparing two different commercially avaliable toothpastes, in order to see if one is better at reducing plaque (soft deposits on teeth) adhesive properties. Forty (40) participants who meet the inclusion/exclusion criteria will be enrolled in the study. Following enrollment, subjects will be asked to use the washout toothpaste for 1 week. Plaque and saliva will be collected at Baseline. All subjects then will be given the first toothpaste to use for the first 12 week treatment. After 12 weeks’ use, plaque and saliva will be collected. The participants then will be given the second toothpaste to use for 12 weeks. After 12 weeks’ use, plaque and saliva will be collected and the study is concluded
