  • Research summary

This study aims at retrospectively looking at all cases treated in Bedford general hospital as suspected or confirmed COVID-19 cases. We aim to gather all the information from attendance to discharge/death for cases. We have created an excel sheet for data collection and we will try to look at as much clinical parameters as we can, we will also take patient background and demographics into account, we will collect relevant investigation results and look at the autopsy report where ever applicable. We will also look at microbiology results, cultures etc. Aim is to identify any pattern which can predict the severity of illness or answer the basic question as to why one person is developing severe complications with COVID-19 while others just get it past without even noticing? Also we will try to get any new or exciting answers as we know very little about this novel Corona Virus.
