Research summary
This study aims to look at factors affecting staff care towards people with intellectual disabilities who display challenging behaviour. This includes factors such as staff views of the person’s level of control, their ability, staff empathy, and willingness to help. Staff will be asked to fill out questionnaires about these topics. Results will look at the relationships between the above factors and will help services train and support staff working with people who display challenging behaviour.
