  • Research summary

The most commonly used hearing test involves detecting quiet tones over earphones. However, the most frequent complaint expressed by people regarding their hearing is the inability to follow speech in noisy backgrounds. Before we can develop a clinical test that measures the ability to follow speech in background noise, we need to know how well the test works in individuals of different ages with no hearing problems. The aim of this study is to gather this information in normal hearing children and Adults.
