  This is an initial pilot study to assess a novel technique to identify SARS-CoV-2 (the virus causing COVID-19) within cells. This will involve taking samples from patients with and without COVID-19 to see whether we can detect the virus in various different sample types (blood, curettage and swab). The samples will be analysed using a microscope to visualise the virus within the cells and to quantify the infection.
