Research summary
The Staff Mental Health Service (SMHS) was established as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic and offers rapid access mental health provision for staff working in five NHS Trusts across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough – CUH, CPFT, RPH, CCS and NWAFT. Aim of the present study is to create an evidence base within SMHS that can be used by other services and will assist the NHS in providing appropriate support to the NHS staff in relation to their mental health needs. Thus, this research will attempt to gather information regarding who needs the Staff Mental Health Service, what is the most appropriate treatment depending on individual mental health needs and whether the service is cost-effective.
