Research summary
The study will be conducted to evaluate the safety and efficacy of HairStetics Hair Implant in subjects affected with hair loss. The hair implants are miniature implants, with synthetic hair fibres attached to them, which will be implanted into a patients scalp in a bald or thinned areas, in order to simulate natural hair and conceal baldness. The implant itself is made of a metal that is widely used in medical implants, and both the implant’s and fibre’s materials are known materials and are supplied sterile. After the implantation, the patient will be followed for a duration of up to 6 months, and then if they agree for a following 12 and 24 months after the implantation in order to evaluate the stability of the fibres and if any side effects occur.
