Research summary
Title: Diagnosis of coronary artery disease with Rubidium-82 PET and Technetium-99m-MIBI SPET: a head to head comparison, versus coronary CT angiography. Design: A diagnostic accuracy study.Aims: To compare the diagnostic performance of Rubidium-82 PET with Technetium-99m-MIBI SPET in coronary artery disease, using coronary CT angiography as a gold standard. Outcome Measures: Sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values of each technique. Population: 102 patients clinically referred for myocardial perfusion imaging. Eligibility: Male and female (Age>40) with clinically suspected or known coronary artery disease. Treatment: Administration of Rubidium-82 and Technetium-99m-MIBI radiotracers.Duration: Up to 2 days per patient, according to BMI-determined Technetium-99m-MIBI myocardial perfusion imaging protocol.
