Research summary
Chest radiographs have proven to be an important initial imaging investigation in the diagnosis, management and prognosis of patients with COVID-19. The most common radiographic features reported in COVID-19 pneumonia are bilateral, subpleural areas of ground-glass opacification and consolidation mainly affecting the lower lobes. \n\nThis study aims to investigate the sensitivity of chest radiographs compared to CT scans and whether COVID-19-related changes demonstrated on CT are visible radiographically in patients who have confirmed disease. Furthermore, we will review negative or equivocal chest radiographs and determine if there are discrepancies with subsequent CT scans.
