Research summary
Aminoglycosides and Glycopeptides are two groups of antibiotics used in the treatment of serious infections. This study aims to look at medication incidents that have been reported where a member of these antibiotic groups has been involved in the acute setting. It is hoped to determine if medication incidents for these antibiotic groups are more likely to occur out of normal working hours and if the use of a separate prescription and monitoring form affects the type of medication incident reported.
