Research summary
The COVID-19 pandemic raises multiple challenges. Within radiology, the most efficacious methods of diagnosis of patients is uncertain. In the UK, chest radiographs have been advocated as a first-line imaging tool to triage patients into high- and low-risk cohorts for COVID-19 infection. The efficacy and reproducibility of chest radiograph at identifying COVID-19 is, however, uncertain; almost all studies concentrate instead on CT scanning. Our project aims to examine chest radiographs to determine their utility in identifying COVID-19 patients.
