Research summary
In this study, we will apply novel high-resolution, non-invasive imaging tools, including optical coherence tomography angiography and adaptive optics ophthalmoscopy to possess new knowledge about blood flow dynamics of retinal microvasculature in health and disease. We expect that this will help us to define the criteria of low and high-risk patients’ populations of retinal microvascular disease and design optimal eye’ test protocols that in the future can be applied for an ophthalmic screening visit.
