  • Research summary

In order to assess a member of the public who is suspected of being exposed to COVID-19 clinical measurements need to be obtained to confirm if emergency hospital admission is required or if self isolation at home is safe. Vital sign acquisition currently involves healthcare staff using personal protective equipment and direct contact with potentially infected individuals. This is time consuming, expensive, resource intensive and puts patients and staff at risk of cross contamination. This study will evaluate a non contact method of obtaining vital signs.
