Research summary
The aim of the study is to measure changes in radial artery diameter during a standard of care radial artery access procedure to better understand the procedure and broader clinical applications. We will be approaching all adult patients who are required to undergo radial artery access as part of their standard care The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.
The Radial Artery access procedure is conducted within radiology under ultrasound guidance, there will be no change from standard of care radial artery access procedure, however we would like to take some measurements using ultrasound of participants artery diameter.
We would like to compare the measurements of the artery with demographic data collected from the participants and hope to provide better guidance on radial artery access procedures by including every adult who requires a radial artery access procedureREC name
