Data collection arrangements
Samples/data are stored at Queen Square Brain Bank for Neurological Disorders or NeuroResource, UCL Institute of Neurology, 1 Wakefield Street, London. Brain, spinal cord, dura, cerebrospinal fluid and blood are collected from donors nationwide who have had a variety of neurological and neurodegenerative diseases. Potential donors are registered via our donor scheme during life. Tissue samples and data are stored in a secure, HTA licenced facility.
Research programme
The QSBB and NeuroResource support in-house research and research undertaken at UCL Institute of Neurology, UCL and other UK and overseas centres. Over many years the QSBB and NeuroResource have facilitated research into neurodegenerative conditions by providing well characterised tissue samples to the scientific community.
