Research summary
We want to pilot the 'Cambridge London Quality of Life questionnaire' for children with severe epilepsy. The purpose of this study is to validate this questionnaire by testing intra and inter rater variability. We are planning to choose a cohort of children who will be going for ketogenic diet (special dietary treatment for intractable epilepsy). We will ask their parents to fill in this questionnaire while these children are getting assessed for this diet. They will be asked to fill in this questionnaire again in 6 weeks time just before the diet is started. This will hence enable us to verify the inter (both parents) and intra (same parent filling the questionnaire in twice 6 weeks)rater variability.
