  • Research summary

Aortic surgery is a fascinating field and an increasingly hot topic in terms of research and innovation. With the number of people who survive an initial dissection event and make it to theatre increasing and elective surgery taking place sooner rather than later in many cases, we need more skilled Aortic surgeons.
Quality of Life after Aortic Dissection surgery is an under-researched area.
This study aims to design, condut and analyse a questionnaire sent to the survivors after Aortic Dissection Surgery to evaluate the following:
    1. Assesment of quality of life after aortic dissection
    2. Investigation of long term complications and development of this cohort of patients
    3. Follow up and further description of the Aortic service experience from a patient’s perspective
