Research summary
The study aims to explore the similarities and differences in psychological factors (mental defeat, beliefs about fatigue, cognitive difficulties and pain including catastrophising) in people living with fibromyalgia (group 1) and chronic pain (group 2), benchmarked against healthy community controls (group 3).
Participants will be recruited through a UK pain clinic. Community samples will be recruited online through social media. Participants will be provided with an online information sheet and informed consent form along with contact details of the researcher. Participants will be provided with an online questionnaire comprised of measures to measure the above constructs. Participants will then be shown a debrief sheet after the study with researcher contact details on.
