  • Research summary

After suffering a subarachnoid haemorrhage (a type of bleed in the brain), it is very hard to predict how patients will recover long term. Some die, many are left disabled and others make good recoveries. There are a number of factors that are taken into account to try to predict recovery but how they should be interpreted is poorly understood. In this project we want to look back at our historical records of patients with SAH and analyse some of these factors to see if we can develop better models to predict how patients will recover so we can better inform them and their relatives what the future holds.
