  Idiopathic Parkinson’s Disease (PD) is a chronic degenerative neurological disorder characterised by both motor and non-motor symptoms. This research proposes a two-phase, mixed method design (informed by a patient consultation) consisting of semi-structured interviews and Experience Sampling Methods that aims to facilitate a greater understanding of the psychological mechanisms that may contribute to distress in PD. It is a feasibility pilot, to support the subsequent development of brief psychological interventions.
