Research summary
We will be using either povidone iodine dressings or plain dressings on post-surgery on breast surgery patients. We will follow these patients 2-3 weeks following surgery and record whether the surgical site has become infected or not. We then record this information and look at whether the patient had an iodine dressing or not. We hope to determine whether using povidone-iodine post surgery affects the patients chance of infection.
