Research summary
There is always a search for an accurate widely available non invasive test that can assess heart arteries narrowing. An echocardiogram is an ultrasound scan of the heart that produces pictures of the heart muscle, chambers, and valves. In some cases the pictures are obscured by the ribs or air in the lungs. In this case an echo contrast agent is used; whereby a dye is injected to improve quality of the pictures.
This study aims to assess whether contrast echocardiography can be used to assess the significance of heart artery narrowings. This will be compared to a gold standard method of measuring significance of coronary artery disease(Fractional Flow Reserve).REC name
