Research summary
The use of digital devices has increased worldwide in recent years. The purpose of this study is to assess the performance of two types of contact lenses, ACUVUE® OASYS® (test lens) and AIR OPTIX® AQUA (control lens) when using digital devices (computers, smart phones and tablets) over a two week period of wear and during a 3 hour period of wear in a humidity controlled environment. The test and control lenses will be worn in turn by the study participants. The aim of the study is to quantify the difference in performance of the two contact lens types while using digital devices.
The study investigators will perform some examinations on participants’ eyes, and participants will be asked to rate the performance with both lens types during the study. The study will be conducted at an optometry research clinic in the UK and is sponsored by Johnson and Johnson Vision Care Inc.REC name
