Research summary
This survey aims to explore whether people living with chronic pain in the North East of England have the access, the desire and the ability to use a pain management app. Statistics will be used to compare demographic characteristics, including pain-related factors and level of deprivation, against the survey responses to identify any relationships with access, ability and willingness or desire
Objectives
1) To investigate the feasibility of incorporating a pain management app in the Stockton and Hartlepool pain management pathway
2) To explore the impact the app has on existing health inequalities.
3) To identify the target population for the curable app.Participants will be adults (18+) with chronic pain who are receiving care from the North Tees and Hartlepool Foundation Trust's Community Pain Management department. CPM staff will give out paper surveys to all patients at their first appointment, and this will continue for 6 months. Completed surveys can be returned in a locked box at the department's reception area.
