Research summary
The aim of this study is to determine optimal length of systemic or oral corticosteroids (SCS) in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) with the help of using peak nasal inspiratory flow (PNIF) measurements. Currently, there is no consensus on the length and the dose of SCS used to treat exacerbation of CRSwNP. PNIF measurements is an objective indicator of therapy effectiveness in patients with CRSwNP. Patients’ demographic, relevant past medical history and results of blood tests performed in standard clinical practice will be analysed to assess their role in predicting therapeutical effectiveness of SCS.
