Research summary
Outpatient hysteroscopic examination is a common gynaecological procedure carried out for investigation and management of many gynaecological disorders. An option to provide this service at non-hospital community settings is currently available aiming to provide a more patient’s oriented, cost effective service.
The aim of this study is to review patient satisfaction and experience from this service at a community setting. The research question is “What is the level of anxiety and degree of satisfaction experienced by women attending a non-hospital based outpatient hysteroscopy clinic?” In order to answer this question a survey will be carried out among patients attending hysteroscopy clinics at Greater Manchester Clinical Assessment and Treatment Services in Greater Manchester.
